Flipkart Plus Members Now Charged Rs 40 as Delivery Fee for Orders Less than Rs 500

Previously, the company offered free delivery on all orders of any value. However, with this new move, Flipkart will now charge a delivery fee of Rs 40 on orders below Rs 500. This new policy applies to all orders except for groceries, which will still require a minimum order value of Rs 600 to qualify for free delivery. Orders below Rs 600 for groceries will be charged a fee of Rs 50.

Earlier, Flipkart had made other controversial moves, including the introduction of a secured packaging fee of Rs 29. The company claims that this fee will be used to package mobile phones sold on its platform. Additionally, Flipkart has implemented an open-box delivery system for large appliances and smartphones. This new system requires buyers to be extra careful while accepting deliveries and identifying any dents, scratch marks, or other damages caused during transport. Buyers must also check for any damages underneath the appliances, such as washing machines and refrigerators. Failure to do so may result in Flipkart rejecting any replacement requests.
